Us Central Desk: Streaming platform Peacock has officially canceled the comedy series Teacup after just one season. The show, which premiered to moderate reviews, failed to garner enough viewership to secure a renewal.

Despite its unique premise and a loyal fan base, Teacup struggled to stand out in Peacock’s increasingly competitive lineup of original content. Fans of the show have taken to social media to express their disappointment, with many calling for another platform to pick it up.

Post: Salmonella Risk Prompts Egg Recall Across Canadian Provinces

A recall has been issued for certain shell eggs sold in Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, and possibly other provinces due to salmonella contamination.

Burnbrae Farms has recalled eggs under the brands Compliments, Foremost, Golden Valley Eggs, IGA, No Name, and Western Family. The affected products have expiry dates of February 16, February 22, and March 1 and were distributed through major grocery chains such as Wal-Mart, Loblaw, and Sobeys.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced the recall after testing detected salmonella contamination. While no illnesses have been reported, the agency is conducting a safety investigation and ensuring the removal of the recalled products from stores.

Health Risks

Salmonella can cause fever, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. Vulnerable groups, including young children, pregnant women, seniors, and those with weakened immune systems, are at greater risk of severe illness or complications such as arthritis.

What to Do

Consumers are advised not to consume, serve, use, or sell the recalled eggs. Products should be disposed of or returned to the place of purchase. Those experiencing symptoms after consuming the eggs should contact a healthcare provider immediately.

For more details, check the lot numbers and Universal Product Codes (UPC) to identify affected products. Stay informed and prioritize safety.
